Fetish photographer Donna Clancy-Goertz was meant to be an artist. She just didn't realize it since she could barely draw stick-figures while her mother is a skilled painter. Fortunately, she gave photography a try during college and was instantly hooked on the medium. Over the last eight years Donna has done commercial work, weddings, and exhibited her personal work in group galleries throughout the United States. It is in her personal work where she truly expresses herself. It is her approach that she feels has led to her success, as she relates: "I try to pull out of the model what he or she is feeling and then tie that into my vision of them. They are both the instrument of my expression and part of the process. It is important to me that they feel like art. That they feel they are as beautiful as I see them." Her work incorporates a lot of fetish and bondage elements. She loves the aesthetic of shiny clothing and the joy of tying her models up. "What can I say?" she says. "I'm a dark and tortured soul (grins)."
