Jesus died for YOUR sins, NOT mine!
(Thoughts from One Very Opinionated Young Man)
In this day and age, one wonders how organized religion has made it
this far. It seems as if religion has only caused more problems than
it has prevented. Take a look throughout history: Many things support
the fact that religion has killed more people than it has saved. This
brings only one thought to my mind: Who and what is GOD?
The words "God" and "religion" have always been
powerful words. To me, is seems that God can be described only as a
word with plenty of false meaning. The fact that people live through
every day thinking so egotistically that there is some influential and
powerful being above all life that watches over us all of the time is
just plan ignorant. You could call it wishful thinking, guidance to
get through life, or even life itself, but I think its shit. God has
done nothing for you, this planet or me, and if you try to tell me he
does, you can go fuck yourself in the ass with your cross or rosary
before doing your own research.
I admit, I have tried to believe and He has failed me, which only brings
me closer to these opinions. If God existed, why would he let so many
horrible things happen to the world? All this Sept. 11 shit and the
statement "God bless America" is so fucking retarded. Just
think about it: Does the word "hypocritical" cross your mind?
It does mine.
I hate all religions because each is equipped with equal parts love
and hidden hate; religion is what has started most wars, and is the
culprit behind the majority of the world's problems. I just don't comprehend
it. How can something so wonderful be so horrible? For example, you
have people on the other side of the world blowing themselves up for
their almighty God. In addition, you have people here in the U.S.A (United
Shit-hole of America) that swear their lives are devoted to God and
they live by the Bible, and yet they're fucking little choirboys and
girls after Sunday School. If the Bible is so powerful, then show me
where it allows its followers to have sex with children. So you ask,
where is God? He must be like Batman, hanging out in the batcave or
something. Is he invisible? Must Be! Is he a power that only religious
people can comprehend? I guess. I like to sometimes think religion is
all just some really clever way to control peoples' lives - that totally
backfired.
It is scary to think that after so many years, so many questions are
still arising from such small words as religion and God. I can't say
that I am right, and I can't say that I am wrong, but the one thing
I can say is, there's a lot of evidence proving the non-existence of
God. Religion is just an excuse: A belief that one culture's religion
is superior to another's, so they can wage war against each other and
then go to church and fuck children. It is one thing to say that a religious
life is a life of love, happiness and devotion to a higher being, but
when you have literally hundreds of religions, all claiming that theirs
is the right one … to be frank, it all gets a little ridicules.
I admit these are my opinions, and you may think they are quite amusing.
But the part that is not amusing is that we are ruining this poor planet
and all the lives on it because of two things we can't even prove: RELIGION
and GOD.
